C-Scar Dream

$4,250.00

Acrylic and paint skins on canvas

48” x 32” x 1.5”

In C-Scar Dream, cerulean forms emerge like fragments of memory against fields of rust and ochre—shapes that hover between figure and feeling. I build my surfaces through acrylic skins cast in silicone molds that I shape by hand, pressing and manipulating clay on the ground before cutting the dried pigment into forms and layering them onto canvas. The gestures of my body—kneeling, reaching, pressing—remain embedded in the material. What surfaces is less a record than a residue: the body remembered through color, weight, and the imprint of making.
